Ss Brewtech (a division of the Middleby Corporation) has recently engaged with Brouwland BVBA for distribution of Ss Brewtetch products in Europe.
Based in Belgium and with decades of experience in the industry, Brouwland is well positioned to expand the already significant reach of Ss Brewtech’s products and customer base to both home and professional brewers in the EU. Brouwland also has a substantial network of wholesale customers and independent retailers that will bring new opportunities for the Ss Brewtech brand in those channels and to grow beyond just the direct to consumer model that has been prevalent up to now.
Independent homebrew supply shops are the heart and soul of brewing and where even most professional brewers starting buying their equipment and ingredients. This is one of the factors that makes the Brouwland partnership so compelling as the Company looks at growing its brand footprint, wholesale and retail customer base, and overall reach to more end users in Europe and beyond.
Larger professional grade brewing systems and tanks will also be an area of focus for this new partnership in the coming months and years – starting off with products that are already popular in the U.S. market such as the Ss Brewtech 1 bbl brewhouse, various sizes of jacketed unitanks ranging initially from 1bbl to 10 bbls, and glycol chilling systems to name a few.
“We are very excited to be working with Brouwland and we think it’s a great fit for both us and them as we look at the next several years of where we want to go with the brand, the products, and distribution strategy. Prior to this new partnership we had only measured success in continental Europe, and we think this is a big step in the right direction to do what we’ve been wanting to do in Europe for several years”, said Mitchell Thomson, President of Middleby’s Ss Brewtech Division.
Brouwland is expected to begin selling into the marketplace roughly beginning Nov. 1, 2019. More information on Brouwland can be found on their website
